Manage your investor profile

Introduction

Your investor profile is your identity on Genkibo. A complete profile builds trust and gives you access to all platform features.


Opening your profile

  1. Click your profile photo or your name in the top right.
  2. Select "My profile" or go to "Profile""Edit".

Profile information

Personal information

  • First and last name
  • Email (main account address)
  • Phone number (used for 2FA)
  • Date of birth (if applicable)
  • Nationality

Location

  • Country
  • City
  • Postal address

Investor profile

  • Investor type: individual or institutional
  • Sectors of interest: areas where you want to invest
  • Investment capacity: range of amounts you are willing to invest

Updating your information

  1. Go to "Profile""Edit profile".
  2. Change the fields you want.
  3. Click "Save changes".

Important: Some information (email, phone) requires additional verification after you change it.


Changing your profile photo

  1. Open your profile.
  2. Click your current photo or the edit icon.
  3. Select a new image from your device.
  4. Crop the image if needed.
  5. Click "Save".

Accepted formats: JPG, PNG. Recommended size: at least 400×400 pixels.


Required documents

To use the platform fully, you must provide certain supporting documents. These documents are used to verify your identity and meet regulatory requirements.

Viewing required documents

  1. Go to Settings"Required documents".
  2. The list of expected documents appears with their status.

Uploading a document

  1. Click the document type to provide.
  2. Select the file from your device.
  3. Add a description if needed.
  4. Submit the document.

Document statuses

PendingDocument uploaded; verification in progress
ApprovedDocument validated by the Genkibo team
RejectedDocument refused (see the reason provided)

Documents typically required for an investor

  • ID document: national ID card, passport, or residence permit
  • Proof of address: recent bill (less than 3 months old)
  • Proof of income (depending on the offers)

Managing your accounts

An investor can have several accounts linked to their profile (e.g. an investor account and a company account).

  1. Go to "My accounts" or "Accounts" from the menu.
  2. The list of your active accounts is displayed.
  3. You can switch between accounts directly from this page.

Favorite accounts

You can mark certain accounts or offers as favorites for quick access:

  1. Go to Settings"Favorite accounts".
  2. View and manage your favorite items.

Profile security

Changing your password

  1. Go to Settings"Security".
  2. Enter your current password.
  3. Enter and confirm your new password.
  4. Click "Update".

Changing your phone number

Because the phone number is used for 2FA, changing it requires verification. Contact support if needed.


Deleting your account

If you want to permanently delete your account:

  1. Go to Settings"Delete my account".
  2. Read the warnings about the consequences of deletion.
  3. Confirm your identity.
  4. Confirm deletion.

Warning: Account deletion is irreversible. All your data, investments, and history will be permanently removed. Make sure all your investments are closed before proceeding.
