Invest in an offer

Introduction​

Found an offer you like? This module explains step by step how to make your investment on Genkibo.

Prerequisites before investing​

Before you can invest, make sure:

  1. Your account is verified: email and phone confirmed.
  2. Your profile is complete: personal information filled in.
  3. Your documents are uploaded and validated: required documents approved by the admin.
  4. You have an active subscription (if required by the platform modules).

If any of these are missing, the platform will tell you and guide you to the right action.

Step 1 — Choose an offer​

  1. Open the company or project list.
  2. Review available offers.
  3. Click the offer you want to see full details.

Step 2 — Review the offer details​

Before you commit, read all offer information carefully:

  • Amount to raise and current progress
  • Rate of return and duration
  • Special conditions
  • Company profile and score

Take time to inform yourself. Every investment involves risk.

Step 3 — Create a payin (contribution)​

A payin is your financial payment to participate in the offer.

Opening the payin form​

  1. From “My investments”, click “New investment” or “Contribute” on the offer page.
  2. You open the payin creation form.

Choosing a payment method​

Genkibo offers several payment options:

Step 4 — Complete payment​

Depending on the method chosen:

Card payment​

  1. You are redirected to the secure payment form.
  2. Enter your card details (number, expiry, CVV).
  3. Confirm payment.
  4. You are redirected back to Genkibo with a confirmation.

Mobile money​

  1. Follow the on-screen instructions to pay from your phone.
  2. Once payment is made, the platform receives confirmation automatically.

Money transfer​

  1. Complete the transfer using the instructions provided.
  2. The platform receives transfer confirmation.

Manual payment​

  1. Contact the Genkibo team via chat.
  2. The team records the payment manually and validates it.

Step 5 — Payment confirmation​

After a successful payment:

  1. You are redirected to a success page with a summary.
  2. A confirmation email is sent to you.
  3. Your payin moves to “Paid” or “Confirmed” status.
  4. The investment is officially recorded.

Edit or update a payin​

If you created a payin but have not completed payment yet, you can:

  1. Go to “My investments” → select the payin.
  2. Click “Edit”.
  3. Change the amount or payment method.
  4. Save your changes.

Delete a payin or investment​

You can delete an unpaid payin if you change your mind:

  1. Go to “My investments”.
  2. Select the investment to remove.
  3. Click “Delete” and confirm.

Warning: A payin that is already paid cannot be deleted unilaterally. Contact support for any refund request.

View your payin invoice​

Each paid payin generates a PDF invoice:

  1. Go to “My investments”.
  2. Click the relevant payin.
  3. Click “View invoice” or “Download invoice”.

What happens after your investment​

  1. The offer keeps collecting funds until it reaches its target.
  2. Once the target is reached, the offer is closed automatically.
  3. Funds are sent to the company (payout).
  4. According to the schedule, you receive your investment returns on the planned dates.
