Account settings

Introduction

Account settings let you customize and secure your experience on Genkibo. This module applies to both investors and companies.


Opening settings

  1. Click your profile (photo or name) in the top right.
  2. Select “Settings” from the dropdown menu.
  3. You reach your account management center.

Settings sections

1. Security settings

Access: Settings → “Security”

Change your password

  1. Click “Security”.
  2. Enter your current password.
  3. Enter your new password.
  4. Confirm the new password.
  5. Click “Update password”.

Strong password criteria:

  • At least 8 characters
  • Uppercase and lowercase letters
  • Numbers
  • Special characters (!@#$%^&*)

2. Privacy policy

Access: Settings → “Privacy”

Read Genkibo’s privacy policy, which explains:

  • What data is collected
  • How it is used
  • Your rights regarding your data
  • Security measures in place

3. Terms of use

Access: Settings → “Terms” (or “General terms”)

Read the platform’s terms of use that you accepted when you registered.


4. Favorite accounts

Access: Settings → “Favorite accounts”

Manage accounts and offers you have marked as favorites:

  • View your favorites list
  • Remove items from favorites

5. Required documents

Access: Settings → “Required documents”

View and manage your supporting documents:

Click a document to upload or update it.


6. Delete your account

Access: Settings → “Delete my account”

Warning: This action is irreversible. All your data will be permanently deleted.

Before deleting your account, make sure:

  • All your active investments are closed
  • You have retrieved all invoices and important documents
  • You have no ongoing financial obligations

Deletion procedure:

  1. Click “Delete my account”.
  2. Read the warnings shown.
  3. Confirm your identity (email / password).
  4. Click “Confirm permanent deletion”.

Changing language

The Genkibo platform supports several languages. To change the interface language:

  1. Find the language selector (usually in the header or settings).
  2. Click the language you want.
  3. The page reloads in the new language.

Switching accounts

If you have several linked accounts (e.g. investor and company):

  1. Go to Settings or click your profile.
  2. Select “Switch account”.
  3. Choose the account to switch to.
  4. You are redirected to the dashboard for that account.

Updating account information

For investors

Account information (first name, last name, email, phone) is updated from ProfileEdit profile.

For companies

Company information is updated from ProfileEdit company profile.
